A wheel flange lubricator is a grease reservoir set alongside the running rail, with a feed line across to an applicator on the rail head. They are placed where flange-to-rail contact wears the rail hardest, so you will find them on the approach to curves rather than out on straight track. Squat drum, hinged lid, two hinge lugs on the side, and a line snaking away to the rail — once you have seen one, you see them everywhere.
Supplied unpainted in bone white PLA. Fit them as they are, or paint them to match your chosen colour scheme.

Choosing your option

- Pack of 25 — twenty-five flange lubricators, working out around 20% less per lubricator.
Painting and installation
Give each one a light key with fine abrasive paper and a coat of primer before painting. Acrylics sit well over primer, and thin coats keep the lid rim and hinge lugs sharp. If you want them to read at a glance from normal viewing distance, a bright body with a dark grey lid does the job, followed by a wash of track grime over the lower half to settle them into the ballast.
Fix them with superglue or any other modelling adhesive suitable for PLA and the material you are fixing to.
These are 3D printed parts, so a fine layer line may be visible on the curved surfaces. At this size it disappears under primer and paint.
